The GI -Joe cartoon movie wasn't that great, Duke should had died with poison of a cobra in his heart and they really don't need Doc or Lifeline nobody ever dies except cobra soilders.

No one is purchasing exclusives through the portal. The portal is simply an entry system into a lottery for time slots to booths that sell exclusives. Those with a badge are given a number of credits per badge per day. Badge holders use those credits to "buy" entries for time slots to booths selling exclusives. A couple of days after the portal closes, folks are randomly selected from all the entries. If you "win" a time slot, you receive an email letting you know for which time slot you were selected. For example, last year I "won" a 2pm time slot at the Mattel booth. You show up, show the booth attendant your selection email, then they let you in line, then you buy your exclusives.

This is so stupid on Hasbro's part. Access to SDCC has become so much more expensive and exclusive over the last 15 years or so. Hopefully IGN's reporters misrepresented some facts. Maybe Hasbro will bring a set quantity to SDCC and then put a 2nd and 3rd batch up for pre-order after the show. Pressers from Hasbro are frequently incorrect and Lenny or Emily usually clarifies everything at some point.

Sounds like SDCC is PROGRAMMING you to jump through Hoops. Only HasBlow and others can overly complicate something that should be Straight Forward and Simple for the Fan aka Consumer. I think the over story of danguard ace was the best. Captain mask/dan. Was a taskmaster he pushed his guy to be the best. His and winstar plotline drove the show. My favorite of all the force five was star average but danguard ave was my #2. I just feel danguard ace was the most grounded. The fact we see winstar, patty and Tony being more 3d characters help make it remarkable.

I actually did get to see GI Joe The Movie in the theater in 1987. It came to select theaters across the country. It's weird it came to my home town, because I'm from a small town in SE MN. Not sure how they decided what theaters got it. But I remember my mind being absolutely blown. My little bro and me and my cousins all went to see it, then we went back home and tried to reenact the movie with our figures!!!

Hi @megajayretro, I've been going to SDCC for the last 15 years, and as you mentioned in your video, the SDCC Exclusive Portal is not something new to this event. However, it's the first time Hasbro has used the SDCC exclusive portal. This is not to prevent scalpers (it's funny that's where your mind typically thinks of LOL) from buying all they can each day, because the vendors solve that problem on their own by either scanning your bar code on your badge or they'll stamp your badge noting you purchased your limit (at least with the highly sought out exclusives). The thought behind the SDCC Exclusive Portal is prevent crowds hanging around the booths and therefore blocking the isles. SDCC security has been very vigilant and strict about blocking the isles. There reasoning or excuse is a fire hazard, and the fire marshal inspector could shut down the event for a certain amount of time until they achieve crowd control. Seriously, almost every vendor with a in-demand exclusive will cap/close their line to purchase, and thus causing people to stand in the isle waiting for the line to reopen. The SDCC exclusive portal, theoretically, should resolve that problem of crowds forming because it would be purchase by appointment only. The problem is, there's too ill informed people on the SDCC exclusive portal and still stand around the vendor's booth causing crowds and blocked isles, or the people with appoints from the SDCC Exclusives are slow to make their purchase and causes all of the appointments to back up. So, if you had an appointment 1pm, there will most likely by people in the line with 12pm appointments. And if that's the case, the line could be capped or closed for the time being, making people with appoints very mad. It happens every year. I just to be clear, you're not purchasing any exclusive items for the SDCC portal. You're just using to points to purchase an appointment to vendor (e.g. Hasbro or Mattel) that will theoretically allow to in a line to purchase the item from the vendor. And you're not guaranteed an appoint from SDCC Exclusive Portal. So you may want to consider using your points on the same vendor (e.g. Hasbro) for each day in case you don't get it. Maybe I see you at SDCC, pare. Good luck! Geek proud!!

So how would someone that is not able to attend the SDCC purchase a Classified "Once a Man" Cobra Commander? Will they offer pre-orders during or after the SDCC? Or do we need to look to "After Market" sales?
